01 / THE BEGINNING

Are You Sitting Comfortably?

Then I’ll begin. In 1966, this Mercedes-Benz 250 SL was presented to Sir Stirling Moss, one of motor racing’s most celebrated drivers.

The real start goes back more than a decade, to 1955, when Moss won the legendary Mille Miglia, a thousand-mile road race across Italy, driving for Mercedes-Benz.

Our story with this car starts now, in 2026. Sixty years of history to trace. Secrets to uncover. And a car to bring back to life.
